What projects do you work on?
Local 324 members work on residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and shipyard projects on Vancouver Island.
How do I join?
Contact Kevin Pivarnyik (via email or 778-676-8073), Union Representative, or download a PDF form to start the process.
How much does it cost?
$150 per Journeyperson or $100 per Apprentice, $41 per month in dues.
What do my dues cover?
As a union, we will keep track of your hours so that wage increases are a smooth transition. We will book your schooling as an Apprentice (also reimburse %50 of the tuition upon successful completion).
We make sure that all your benefits are being appropriated so you do not need to worry.
What about training?
At UA Local 324, we are all about training up our workforce. If you think of a course that will help yourself and our membership, we will put it on with minimal costs absorbed by the union.
As a member of Local 324, there are a wide variety of refresher and upgrade courses available at no cost.
Holidays and time off?
We are all people at the end of the day. Right now in our agreement a member can take 4 weeks off. With %12 holiday pay, it shouldn’t be hard.
Can you work in other provinces?
UA Local 324 members have opportunities to travel to other provinces for work. Members can contact any UA Local union across Canada and apply for current travel card vacancies.
